Lately, I've found quite a few art thieves. Particularly tracers that dont give credit to the original artist or work.
Now, I'm not naive, I know this is commonplace. But, It well and truly irritates me to see these pasted across their page and works.

and
"Ask me If you want to use my art!"
Now I know what its like to want to know how to draw. And yes, a good way of starting out is tracing. If you pay attention to what you are doing, it will teach you anatomy, proportions etc.
But, and I cant stress this enough. Don't post it! Or, if you really must show the world how good you are at copying someone elses work, ask permission and give credit.
People with the above notices on their traced work are thieves, whether they know it or not. They are officially passing off the original work as their own.
For those of you that do all this because you think you can't draw. You're probably right. But, Rome wasn't built in a day, and an art isn't mastered in an hour. Get some time, get some references, sit down, and practice! I know that everyone says this, but theres a simple reason, It's true. You can't figure out how to do something? Talk to the people you so desire to immitate. You'll find alot of artists are pretty easy-going people when it comes to this.
I, personally, have been drawing all my life, an I've only started improving quite recently (Last 4-5 years) Most of the improvement has taken place since I joined dA and sought advice and feedback from people.
So, To anyone reading this that it applies to, or even those that just want a bit of guidance. Ask. Ask me if you like, I'm happy to help.
But thieves are never safe. People visit their watchers and visitors galleries. And you will be caught.
To all my watchers that actually bother with their art. I'm sorry for the rant!
